Wow, it's been forever-I sort of forgot that I used to do this, sort of got really busy, and sort of decided that my audience was too narrow, and that I needed to pursue other interests. Remind me to explain that later.
Update:
I'm teaching seventh grade at the middle school I was talking about in last spring's blogs. My preceptor got a promotion, and apparently he liked my work, so here I am. I'm having fun with it...for now. I still eventually want to do YWAM, and Mercy Ships, and U of Nations. One day at a time though. Until then, I am also in a *new* grad program at Virginia Tech, working on my MEd in Heath Promotion. Also ok, for now.
Now the BIG news:
I have a new niece since I last posted-and she's almost 8 months old, a fact which makes me cringe about my lack of blogginess again. SORRY, ok?? Selah Mirielle Grace B--- is beautiful, and sweet. Anna is 2 1/2, and LOVES all the girly things-dolls, and dressup, and teaparties, etc. Jaren is in preschool, and is SUCH a big boy-he waited FOREVER to turn 4 and is so excited that he's no longer a little kid. David is almost 6, sweeter every day, and SO thoughtful; and Caleb is almost 8 and borderline brilliant. Maybe not even borderline. I miss them dreadfully.
In other news, we've played musical houses this year, and Angie and Jeff moved back to the little house on the farm, Jeff is farming with his dad-pray that it goes well-the house is cramped, and they're working hard, and they need extra assurance that God is caring for them. The other house-swapping is that Mom and Dad moved out of their house in Orrville, and into A & J's house in Smithville. Mom is doing gorgeous things to it, and I can't wait to see it next weekend when I go home.
And the reason I'm braving the PA Turnpike in the middle of February?? Several-fold: 1. Mom's birthday, 2. David's birthday, 3. Angie's birthday, and finally 4. I'm MOVING!!!
I finally have a house of my own. I'm all excited, and just a wee bit nervous. I know it's right though-once again, God has blessed me further than I ever deserve. Here's my little cottage:
it's idyllically situated between a mountain, a vineyard, another mountain, and a horse-farm across the street. Oh, I also have a lovely pool to use, belonging to my landlady, who is often out of the country doing pediatric doctoring things. And finally, I have a dog! Mosby is the Shippa's middle-aged golden retriever, and they are giving him to me! He's so sweet, and will be a wonderful companion.
Much more to say, but I'm off to dreamland just now. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow; we have a major snowstorm going right now, and if I know Virginia, things will all come to a grinding halt tomorrow. So, it's a jammies day! Maybe I'll get out the keyboard and practice some of my worship that Caleb taught me. Maybe I'll pack. :P
'G night.
